Meet the Founder
Joe Cunha, P.E., C.M.E., Founder and CEO
Joe founded IronForge Infrastructure after a career spent leading and delivering public infrastructure across New Jersey. He served as Executive Director of a major New Jersey municipal utilities authority and held senior engineering roles with several New Jersey municipalities.
He holds a New Jersey Professional Engineer license and the Certified Municipal Engineer designation, studied construction engineering and management at NJIT, and serves on the advisory board of the New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers.

The CEO Magazine profiled Joe during his tenure as Executive Director of the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority. The feature follows his path from his father's construction company to NJIT and municipal engineering, and covers JCMUA's combined sewer upgrades, trenchless rehabilitation, insertion valve program, and the lead-free drinking water stations installed in every Jersey City public school.

Joe is fluent in Portuguese and proficient in Spanish.
